Today I am going to tell about two of the most common segments of kitchen faucets.

One is the stainless steel and the other one is chrome. It is nothing easy to choose one of them as they have their own appeal and advantageous aspects.

So, for minimizing your confusion while making your decision about choosing from among these two, I’m going to tell you about some more detailed features of these two including their pros and cons.

So that you can make your mind more easily on the battle of stainless steel faucet vs. chrome faucet.

Stainless Steel Faucet

Stainless steel is a material that is well known to almost every industry around the globe as in most of it is one of materials with high usage ratio.

It is basically an alloy of steel along with chromium with the percentage of 10.5. It is mostly known for its durability. The fact is it is more durable than chrome.

Doesn’t matter even if the task patterns are performed with it is heavy in nature, yet it doesn’t dent easily.

One of the best things about using stainless steel faucet is it has a good impact absorbance capacity that has made capable of handling high speed water pressure without showing any sign of being wear.

It is said that stainless steel faucets contain a life time than can last ten years more than any regular chrome faucet. Another good thing about the stainless steel is its chromium layer.

The specialty of this feature is it has made the faucet resistant to corrosion, neither will it rust.

Though stainless steel is considered as one of the best material for kitchen faucet, but the truth it is not complete invulnerable to scratches and spots.

But it is quite easy to avoid them only if you doesn’t let water stay for a long time, otherwise stains may take place.

With a view to minimize that risk, it better if you keep it dry by wiping it with a soft cloth right after you are done with regular chores.

For easing up your decision making process I’d like to let you have a glance over it overall advantageous aspects.

Advantageous aspects:

  • Stainless steel faucets are highly durable. The best thing about them is they often sustain more than the other kind of regular faucets.
  • It is resistant to corrosion, what has made it more user friendly to the customers of all segment.
  • Stainless steel faucets are not only compatible with high temperature but with low as well.
  • Another best thing about stainless steel faucet is they doesn’t cost much unlike the other faucets.

Chrome Faucet

Chrome faucets are mostly meant by the steel, plastic or stainless steel with chrome plating. So you can say that they are not any solid chrome when they are mentioned as chrome faucet but faucets with different materials with chrome plating.

Most of the people who choose chrome faucet basically focus on shining aspect of the faucet. Yeah, it is true that is it shinier in comparison with stainless steel.

It actually gives the kitchen an eye catching outlook. Though the shining feature of the chrome faucets that is capable drawing anyone’s attention on the first glance but the harsh reality is, these faucets are quite difficult to keep clean.

The worst part is stains from water drops often leaves a negative impact on the outlook of the faucet.

If you are thinking that shining glitters are going sustain forever, I better suggest you to rethink that, because the chrome plating can come off after scratching a while.

Yet for you to get on a conclusion about getting a chrome faucet I’d like to mention the prime advantageous aspects.

Advantageous aspects:

  • They have shiny finish that has made them more appealing for any of the kitchen around.
  • It comes with variety of materials unlike the stainless steel.

End Talk

On the basis of my discussion, I guess it is pretty much clear to you that which one is the better choice as kitchen faucet. Yes, that’s stainless steel.

Still I’d suggest you to focus on your need more while making your final decision about getting one.
